Rupert Lloyd Thomas is one of the last known survivors of the presenters on Radio Caburn in 1998. Intrigued by the possibilities of Internet Radio, the first online broadcast in Lewes that year came from a PC in his back bedroom in Tanners Brook.
After the great flood of 2000, Rupert moved to higher ground in Toronto, Canada.
Nowadays he roams the highways of North America in his smart car and tours the streets of Toronto on his yellow Brompton bicycle.
Bonfire and Rocket FM brings Rupert back to Lewes each year. He’d like to stop but he doesn’t know how. He says:”I used to be a suit but I'm alright now. I've found my mojo at last.”
He looks forward to talking to his guests on Rocket and finding out what has been happening locally in 2009.
A blogger since 2000, he specialises in live blogging from motor racing events - words, pictures and video - Daytona, Nürburgring and Macau in 2008; Daytona, Spa and Le Mans in 2009.
