This year I’ve tried hard to get new material for you all to listen to. Every year I think it can’t get easier to find fantastic music and every year it does. I could have done a whole show of pretty discordant horrible stuff, but I’ve tempered justice with mercy and diluted the disturbing with the really wonderful and beautiful. I’ve even put in some old favourites, which you might have heard before, (but not many).There is some stuff that I heard in the back of a taxi in southern Iran. There are about four tracks designed to put me in the number one position as the man in the street’s sniping opportunity. There are some to put you into a trance like state, some to make you go aah, some to make you go oh ho ho ho and quite a lot to make you go why? There is only one track by someone who is actually mad and I’m proud to have been inclusive with the French.
