COLOUR SUPPLEMENT - DEEGERIDON'T!

Rocket's own Director-General, Andy Thomas, has (for the first time known to man) bowed to the requests of thousands of fans and agreed not to proceed with his planned on-air Deegeridoo concert.

However, you can take the music away from the man (and some might say that happened long ago) but you can't take the man away from music. The Deege now plans, as an alternative, a major guitar concert and masterclass, to last an entire day. This amazing special event will be broadcast by Rocket to an admiring world on 31st November 2004.

Our photograph shows the Deege practising for the occasion (yes, he's used to practising, he used to be a lawyer) in his own private pseudo-hermit's-grotto in the gardens of one of his lesser residences, Lewes Castle. Our photographer counted himself very lucky to be admitted to this private haven (and even luckier to escape again).
