BEHIND THE SCENES IN 2006

We know you're all fascinated to know what it's like up at the Rocket Global Broadcasting Complex - so here are some photos!

Euguene Sully in the Rocket FM studio

First, for all the many fans of Eugene "Big Brother" Sully, here's a photo of him during his very first show for Rocket FM (and we hope there will be many more!). Now, Eugene, you're supposed to speak into the microphone, not the headphones...

RDS display - RocketFM Our techies were very proud that in 2006, for the first time, we could offer you RDS. This means that the station's name appears on your radio, whether in the car or in your music centre. And this is what it looks like!

Dino and Alex in the studio

Now, a shot of Dino and Alex in the studio...

 Andy Reeve in the studio

... and one of Andy Reeve in deep concentration on his show.

Wendy Hiscox and Mike Bonsor (Mike is in his usual ultra-sane condition).

Peter Flanagan, ever-skilled at body-language on the radio.

The Mayor of Lewes, Councillor Merlin Milner, being interviewed.

"I can see for miles and miles..." - Miles Jenner and Paul Myles present an entertaining and eclectic show.

During "What the Papers Say" on Sunday morning, you can see who ate all the pies. Left to right: Peter Donaldson (well-known to Radio 4 listeners), Peter Flanagan and Martin Leeburn.

A rare shot of Rupert Lloyd-Thomas as interviewee rather than interviewer...

... well, maybe not so rare, because here's another!

Of course, we publicised our time on-air; here is the banner which was displayed at the entrance to the Tesco car park ...

.... and here is the display which we put in the Tourist Information Office window in the High Street.

And, if you are interested, here are the statistics on visitors to the web site during our run on-air in 2006.
