ROCKET STALWART PUBLISHES BOOK

Founder-member of Rocket FM, Derek Watts, has another string to his bow.  His first book is an authorised biography of Jim Parks, the Sussex and England cricketer.

Entitled "Young Jim", the book features views and opinions of many of his contemporaries.  Listeners to Derek's show on Rocket FM in 2004 will have heard extracts from tapes of some of these interviews.

"It was enormous fun meeting all those great cricketing names from yesteryear," Derek Watts said. "Dexter, Sheppard, Boycott, Close Islingworth - and of course talking at length to Jim himself."

Derek is now working on a biography of Albert Lee, the celebrated country/rock guitarist, who has worked with Chris Farlowe, Eric Clapton, the Crickets, the Everly Brothers and Emmylou Harris.
