Natalie Edelman lives in Malling and works at Brighton university, where she is also a student. She also has two children aged 7 and 11, yet still finds time to play in the highly-regarded (ahem!) local band The Battered Cases, doing backing vocals and rhythm guitar. Her eldest child, Grace Edelman, is also one of the Rocket FM presenters … though they are planning to play very different styles of music. Grace will be playing 70s rock, while Natalie will be playing 60s girl band music for two solid hours and probably dancing round the studio quite a bit too (thankfully you won’t be able to see that).

Sha-La-La-La-Lewes (Monday 24th October, 9pm – 11pm)
There simply isn’t enough 60s girl band music on the airwaves and this show aims to put that right, with two solid hours of it. Expect some classics from the likes of Martha and the Vandellas and the Shangri-Las, but also some lesser-known treasures, and some selections from local Lewes folks. Whatever your mood, tune in, because Natalie will be playing happy tunes you can dance to, romantic songs you can swoon too, and lots of dramatic voice-over songs about the torments of unrequited and thwarted love. It’s going to be thrilling!
