Sarah Jex started out in radio way back in 1978, when she worked with the legendary Mike Reed and Steve Wright on ‘the Reed and Wright show’ on 210 FM, now Radio 210.
Back then she was very much in the background, helping to prep shows and make tea and it was not until she joined Coastway Hospital Radio decades later, that she realised that she had probably taken the wrong path in life and missed out on all the fun!
After a career as a Graphic Designer; teacher of Art & Design and more recently as a Trainer, Sarah is coming back onto the airwaves by joining Rosie Boxer on their Rocket FM show Evening Ladies! (Mondays, 7pm – 9pm) … Hold onto your hats!
Evening Ladies! describes the presenters not the audience, so expect some edgy explorations of what Rosie and Sarah – and their guests – make of things that flash before your eyes, flicker in your imagination or spark some dim and long-forgotten memories. You will be left in no doubt that they like to play with fire as much, if not more, than the next man …
The overall theme for the show is ‘seeing the unseen’, with 19th October focusing on the Planet & Sustainability. Guests Kay Syrad and Chris Drury will explain The Exchange Project – an interesting combination of the written word and art. The second show on 26 October will explore Raising Vibration, with guest and local artist Peter Messer, and layers of experience as portrayed in his Elsewhere & Otherwise series of paintings. Their third and final show on 2 November is all about Gold and Light. Photographer Gill Orsman will be joining us to share her incredible journey exploring and capturing Orbs and other light and energetic phenomena on camera.
