Norman Baker is spending a lot more time with his music these days and thoroughly enjoying it, having closed the door on elected office after 28 years. Every week he presents two shows on nearby Seahaven FM. The first, Anything Goes, covers jazz, blues, western swing, pop, well anything really, between 1920 and 2015. This is also syndicated to Uckfield FM. The second, The Hidden 60s, broadcasts great tracks from that decade that somehow you may have missed. He is looking forward to being back on Rocket FM.
Norman’s band, The Reform Club, is presently gigging, and had a new album, Never Yesterday, out in January. This follows his EP, Animal Countdown, out last year.
He has also recently released a new book, Against the Grain (Biteback Publishing).
Playing The Blues Sunday 23rd October, 9pm – 11pm
Sit back and enjoy two hours of the best blues music, from the 1930s onwards. A mixture of acoustic and electric, British and American, with the odd esoteric track thrown in from around the world. Warning: much of this will be on well-loved vinyl so be prepared for the odd snap, crackle and pop
