A fictional pirate radio station takes over the airwaves of Lewes community radio station Rocket FM on Monday afternoon (31/10/16) when Ben Stevens and Sam Jones hand over the decks to Kurupt FM.

The duo will be joined in the studio live by BAFTA-nominated writer Steve Stamp, one of the creators and performers of the acclaimed BBCThree show People Just Do Nothing.

The hit mockumentary is based around the goings-on at Kurupt FM, a west London pirate radio station broadcasting garage and drum and bass. As well as writing, Steve appears in the show as Steven ‘Steves’ Green, a dim-witted habitual drug user and the runt of the litter at Kurupt FM, whose grandmother owns the flat from which the station broadcasts.

Ben and Sam talk to the comedy writer and performer about his craft, and about the success of the show. People Just Do Nothing began as the YouTube series Wasteman TV and was the first BBCThree programme to premier exclusively on its iPlayer service. It has recently seen its third series being broadcast on BBC2, with a fourth scheduled for 2017.
